GET TO KNOW - Laurette Wauer - 3rd Grade

Laurette Wauer is currently teaching 3rd grade at Wright Elementary after teaching the Reading Intervention program for the past 3 years. She has been in the education field for over 18 years. Mrs. Wauer and her husband Kevin live in Booker, where he has served as the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Booker for 13 years. Mrs. Wauer has three grown children Zachary, Abby, and Jeremy. Mrs. Wauer spends most of her time outside of school serving and leading at church. Her favorite thing to do is travel with her family and see new places. They enjoy playing games and visiting late into the night when they are together.

Mrs. Wauer attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene where she received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education-1st-8th grade). Her goal for the school year is for each of her students to feel loved and excited about learning. She wants to inspire them to reach goals in learning that they have never reached before.
