GET TO KNOW - Debbie Towner - 2nd Grade
Debbie Towner has worked in education for 42 years and 41 of those years have been at Wright Elementary. She graduated from Tyrone High School and then attended Panhandle State University where she received a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Physical Education. She met the love of her life, Galen Towner, the summer after graduating high school. They have two sons, David, who teaches computer classes and coaches at Friona High School. Brandon lives here in Perryton. He is married to Crystal and they have four girls: Ashley, Janet, Zoe, and Bailey. They also have a great-granddaughter, Berenice. Mrs. Towner stays busy with classwork and her granddaughter's school activities.
Mrs. Towner wants her students to gain a love of learning and reading. Her goal for the year is she wants them to know that it is okay to make mistakes as long as a lesson is learned from that mistake. She wants them to know that they are loved and are expected to give their very best in the classroom. Learning is an adventure that never ends.
You might catch Mrs. Towner on the weekends doing her favorite hobby… going to garage sales! Thank you Mrs. Towner for your dedication for the past 41 years to Wright Elementary.
